Prisons: High Security
There are two types of high security prison. Core Locals primarily serve the courts, they can hold provisional Category A remands as well as short-term sentenced Category “B” and “C” prisoners from the local area. The Dispersals serve to spread the Category “A” population, ensuring that the most dangerous prisoners are not concentrated in a single establishment, thereby reducing the risks involved in holding them.
