Possible victim of human trafficking has conviction overturned

The Crown Court has overturned a man’s conviction after evidence suggested he might have been a victim of human trafficking. The Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) referred the case of Mr AL, who was convicted of producing cannabis in September 2019. He was sentenced to six months in custody. Learn More >>
